Nanaimo bars have originated fromNanaimo, on Vancouver Island. The name comes from the city called Nanaimo in British Columbia.
It consite of a wafer crumb-based layer, toped by a layer of light vanilla or custard flavour butter icing wich is covered in chocolate made from melted chocolate squares.
